Executive Meeting of The Gardeners

Michele opened the meeting by announcing that Sarah Collier would be taking a leave of absence from her duties and that Wendy Morse will assume the Civic Gardens activities.
Margot took the floor to begin a discussion relative to updating the membership application.

President Michele Jameson promptly opened the meeting at 10 AM.
She asked Peggy Shaver to introduce and welcome Mac Griswold who spoke on The Gardens and Life of Bunny Mellon, as described in her book, “I’ll Build a Stairway to Paradise.”

At 10:15 AM, the members socialized and enjoyed a slideshow highlighting activities from the past year.

There were seven of us weeding yesterday–Sandy Beale, Bonnie Buchak, Judi Garst, Michele Jameson, Julie Roegge, Presley Schwinn and Connie Stelzenmuller. The weather was wonderful despite the air quality resulting from fires in Canada and NJ. We gathered in the beginning as usual for instructions from Sam Nestory and Kristen Ryan, the Stoneleigh staff, about which weeds to pull. There are always some freebie plants, not weeds, to transplant into our own gardens.

Following a few minutes of socializing, promptly at 10 AM, President Connie Steltzenmuller called the meeting to order.
