Grange Workday – July 2013

Our workday at the Grange in July was busy and fun as usual. We worked for almost two hours and were hanging out together chit-chatting and saying our good byes when a butterfly lighted on Cathy Decker’s shoulder. Wyn quickly dug out her cell phone to capture the moment as Michele looked on. We realized that we were standing in front of two large butterfly bushes—lavender and white. We watched and observed as many butterflies visited the white-bloom variety more often. Visitation of butterflies to these bushes has a lot to do with their nectar quality I’m sure, but I did think butterflies liked more vivid colors.

We were happy to have ended out day with such a pleasant sight.
